The Canyon Coffee space is meant to embody the spirit and warmth of its founders, Ally and Casey. The Canyon Coffee space should feel a bit like walking into the founders’ own home, inviting you to take a long seat at the low, deep counter, leaving your daily trials at the door.

We developed the interior strategy, drawing reference from both the Old and New World. From humble spaces in the Italian countryside to the Sea Ranch development in Northern California, spaces rooted deeply in comfort and ease have served as a robust foundation upon which Canyon Coffee may establish its Los Angeles roots.

Working closely with Ally and Casey, we developed a reduced, material rich palette, combining eclectic solid woods, solid stone, and smooth plaster. The walls are clad in local West Coast Douglas Fir. The bar is made from rich Birch lumber and Portuguese limestone. Custom Birch barstools and Douglas Fir Benches were crafted by us.
